1Health Interprofessional Competencies

1Health embodies a vision for interprofessional education in which all University of Minnesota Academic Health Center students entering into professional schools must demonstrate competency during three phases.  Those phases include:

Phase I: Orientation/Start of the program

Phase II:  Building the Tool Box/Basic knowledge

Phase III:  Authentic Experiences/Clinical and experimental education

Specific competencies are based on international standards and will focus on Professionalism/Ethics, Communication, and Teamwork.
