4 decades in the making
Discoveries happen where disciplines meet. And 40 years ago, the schools and colleges of medicine, public health, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and dentistry came together to form the University of Minnesota's Academic Health Center (AHC).
One of few in the nation with 6 schools that train health professionals, the AHC has evolved into a place where cross collaboration is key. Our doctors train with pharmacists. Public health workers partner with veterinarians. Nurses collaborate with dentists.
So why does this matter?
Together, we provide new and better treatments and cures, a robust educational experience for the next generation of health care providers, and state-of-the-art patient care.
