Leading Change: Welcome

Barbara F. Brandt, PhD, Assistant Vice President for Education, University of Minnesota Academic Health Center

Dr. Brandt welcomed the more than 200 conference attendees representing twenty different communities and fields as diverse as higher education, health systems, the business community, economic development, nonprofit organizations, and local and state government.  She said the purpose of the conference was to explore the complexity of health professions workforce issues, addressing both challenges and solutions.
