Leading Change: Leading Change for a Healthy Future

Leading Change for a Healthy Future
Frank B. Cerra, MD, Senior Vice President for Health Sciences, McKnight Presidential Leadership Chair, University of Minnesota Academic Health Center

Dr. Cerra encouraged conference attendees to participate in open-ended dialogue, noting that the conference was about increased collaboration, partnership, and inclusiveness.  He encouraged the use of new models and new partnerships to address problems in health care and health professions workforce issues.  He outlined ways in which the University is leading change, including the use of technology to teach students and take care of patients, increasing diversity so health professionals will reflect the diversity of the population, and examining educational models.
