Reporting Problems/Work Requests

AHC Research Bldg. Mgmt. Services serves as the one-stop shop for any problem in NHH, Jackson, MCB or LRB/MTRF.  If there is a problem with the building’s physical plant or any building system OR the area around it, please contact building management.

We do all FM work orders for any additions, changes or deletions in the building.  This includes actions such as removal, addition, changes in furniture, furnishings, casework, piping, electrical, water, plumbing, carpentry, etc.   Use the “Request for Services” form to request the work (estimates also).

We also order new furniture, case work, shelving for the building.  Please use the “Request for Services” to request the item.

The “Request for Services” form can be completed online.  Complete the form and send it back to ahcrbms@umn.edu.  It can also be hand-carried to any Information Desk.  Do not use for urgent requests .

During business hours, if the problem is urgent (requiring an immediate response or a response in less than four hours), call Maureen Scaglia at 5-2967(office) or 612-685-2205 (cell) , or one of the info desks, (NHH, 6-0911; MCB, 5-3511 or LRB/MTRF, 4-4611).   If there is no response at those numbers, call Dave Lee at 4-0616 (office) or 612-221-8382 (cell).   Do not leave a message .

IMPORTANT: During non-business hours, contact either Dave Lee or Maureen Scaglia. We will contact the appropriate party to solve the problem.  We have the ability to direct connect to FM staff and can work with FM to solve the problem more efficiently and rapidly.  Use all numbers including home phone numbers as necessary.  Do not leave a message .   If all efforts to reach Dave or Maureen are unsuccessful, then contact BSAC (FM’s emergency center) at 4-3357.  Continue to try to contact us.
