A Program of the University of Minnesota

The Minnesota AHEC is a network of community and academic partners committed to meeting the health professional workforce needs of greater Minnesota.

At Minnesota Area Health Education Center (AHEC), our mission is to support the health professional workforce needs of greater Minnesota through strong community-campus partnerships between academic institutions, health care agencies, communities, and others committed to improving the health of the people of Minnesota.

The Minnesota AHEC Program Office and partners in the four Minnesota AHEC regions create programs that promote rural health education across a continuum.  We develop activities that nurture youth as they explore health careers, provide community-based interprofessional training for health professions students, and support continuing education for health care professionals and community members.
