Southern Minnesota AHEC welcomes health professions students and residents with these exciting opportunities:
Disciplinary Clinical Rotations of between one week and nine months for students in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, clinical laboratory science, physical therapy, occupational therapy and public health.
A nine-month, community-based educational experience in rural Minnesota primary care for third-year medical students, offered through the Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) .
Rotations for dental and dental hygiene students at the Rice Regional Dental Clinic,which provides dental services to uninsured and underserved local residents. Southern MN AHEC also arranges community service activities for dental and dental hygiene students while they are training at the Rice Regional Dental Clinic.
The Pharmacy Residency Program establishes a residency for a recently graduated pharmacist. AHEC participates in the program by promoting pharmacy careers to area youth.
Interprofessional education activities.
