Undergraduate Opportunities

Center for Bioethics - University of Minnesota [undergrad]

Some of our 5000 level courses are open to junior and senior undergraduates. In addition, the following opportunities are available.

Life Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Program (LSSURP)
A bioethics seminar series is offered in collaboration with the College of Biological Sciences which provides ethics in research for undergraduates enrolled in the Life Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Program.

Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP)
This program offers financial awards twice yearly to full time undergraduates for research, scholarly, or creative projects undertaken in partnership with a faculty member. It encourages students to conduct research and pursue academic interests outside of their regular courses by employing them to work on special research projects.

Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program (MSROP)
MSROP provides undergraduates an opportunity to develop research and inquiry skills with a faculty mentor on an individual basis or as part of a research team, which may include graduate students, research scientists, technicians and other MSROP students. Through the mentoring process, students are introduced to the methodology of their chosen discipline by involving them in research and other scholarly activities.
