Forwarding University e-mail
Forwarding University e-mail address to preferred e-mail address
- On your internet browser, type in the following web page address - www.umn.edu/validate
- You will see a screen titled - "Internet Account Management". Select the "Directory Update Form" link.
- A log-in screen will then pop-up. Enter your Internet ID (which is all of the information before the @ sign of your University e-mail address) and your password. If you are unsure of your ID or password, you can contact the Help line numbers that are listed on the left-hand side of the screen. Then hit the "Login" button.
- A screen will pop up showing that you are properly logged in. You will need to minimize the log-in screen, so that you are able to view the screen for the forwarding process.
- You will now see a screen titled "Internet Account Options". You will select the "Set E-Mail Forwarding" option.
- You will now see a screen titled "Set E-Mail Forwarding". You will see the option of having your e-mail sent to your "Centrally assigned Internet Account" or "Other". You will select the "Other" button and type in your e-mail address.
- After you have typed in the address, be sure to click on the Submit' button.
- When you are finished with the forwarding process, maximize the screen where you logged in and select the "Logout" button.
