Evaluating Progress

Student and Instructor Evaluation

Through self-assessment and occupational exploration activities, you will come to learn a lot about yourself as a developing professional. You will need to continue to evaluate your progress at each step along the way.

  • Are your interests, values, and personality a match for the career you're considering?
  • Is the career you're planning on still “for you” now that you've done some research into the world of work?
  • Has your experiential opportunity shown you that you are lacking a skill set significant for your chosen field?

Depending upon your responses to the above questions, you may need to set new career goals for yourself. These goals could be more specifically targeted to your chosen field, or they may be more broadly focused on some entirely new career paths.
