American Veterinary Medical Association 
The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing more than 72,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services. Structured to work for its members, the AVMA acts as a collective voice for its membership and for the profession.

Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges 
AAVMC represents all veterinary medical colleges in the United States and Canada, eight departments of veterinary science, eight departments of comparative medicine, two animal medical centers, and three international colleges of veterinary medicine in its collective dealings with governmental bodies, veterinary medical organizations, the animal and human health industry, educational and scientific organizations and the public.

Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine 
The Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine is the licensing agency for veterinarians in the state of Minnesota and was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 1893.  The seven members of the Board are appointed by the Governor to four-year terms; five members are licensed veterinarians and two are public members. The mission of the Board is to promote, preserve, and protect the public health, safety and welfare through the effective control and regulation of the practice of veterinary medicine.

U of M Pre-Vet Student Club
The University of Minnesota Pre-Vet Club is composed primarily of undergraduate students interested in becoming veterinarians. The club is a place for interested students to get together and find out more about getting into veterinary school, swap ideas and have fun. The club meets on a regular basis for both business meetings and social activities.
