Reflections on India

University of Minnesota students who have completed the Future Physician course series (AHS 1600/1601/1602) recently had a rare opportunity to learn about health care in a rapidly developing economy by traveling to India for 3 weeks of intensive study in the form of a global seminar.

Instructors from that course series, Shailey Prasad, MD, MPH and Tricia Todd, MPH, led the first-time trip for University of Minnesota undergraduates. Dr. Prasad was a founding member of the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement in India, which was one of the destinations for this group of students. Tricia Todd, MPH, who co-lead the trip, is the Assistant Director of the Health Careers Center.
