Template Programs

The following template safety programs may be used to assist in developing site-specific programs as required by OSHA.

Obviously, these are merely templates and must be thoroughly customized to reflect your operations.

It should be simple to see where these templates require modification, but if you have questions, please contact the Office of Occupational Health and Safety at (612) 626-5008 or email us at uohs@umn.edu. You may also refer to the fact sheets that are also available on our website for explanation of the requirements.

Remember, having a completed written program is not the final step in establishing a program--it’s only the first. Once the written program is finalized, each location must begin to implement the program elements (developing required SOPs, conducting hazard evaluations, providing training, etc.) described in the program.
