Policy/Advocacy

Policies play a major roll in creating environments that are conducive to obesity prevention. The Obesity Prevention Center strives to work with its members, community partners, and outside organizations to develop and advocate for such policies at all levels, including schools, colleges, and workplaces, along with government at the local, state, and national level.

OPC Consulting

The OPC provides free consulting services to researchers, students, wellness coordinators, government officials, the press and the general public to help inform, develop, and advocate for obesity prevention policies. Inquiries may be made centrally to the OPC Director or Associate Director, or directly to the researchers listed in a specific research interest area (see our Center Members page).

Staying Informed

Keeping up to date on policy initiatives can be hard work. We've put together a few pages in an effort to help you stay informed and active.
