Spring 2008 Mini Medical School

The Spring Mini Medical School series is titled "The Aging Game".

The five-class series schedule is:

March 24      
6:10-7:00 pm   What happens as we age? Jim Pacala, M.D., M.S.
7:00-7:30 pm   The Aging Game demonstration  
7:30-8:30 pm   Caregiver Stress Joe Gaugler, Ph.D.
       
March 31      
6:10-7:00 pm   When did THAT appear?  Moles, spots, wrinkles and other weird stuff Maria Hordinsky, M.D.
7:00-7:30 pm   Lab: Info on skin cancer and other skin conditions  
7:30-8:30 pm   Orthopaedics and aging Julie Switzer, M.D.
       
April 7      
6:10-7:00 pm   Use it or lose it: Sexuality & aging Beatrice “Bean” Robinson, Ph.D., L.P., L.M.F.T.
7:00-7:30 pm   Lab: Medication education provided by PharmD students  
7:30-8:30 pm   What you should know about prescription drugs and medications Jon Schommer, Ph.D.

7:00-7:30 pm   Occupational Therapy students showcase instruments used with patients  
7:30-8:30 pm   Tomorrow’s promise: Stem cells Doris Taylor, Ph.D.

Registration for the five classes is $75 (includes program materials and refreshments). The series will run Monday nights, March 24, 31 and April 7, 14, 21, 6 - 8:30 p.m. in Coffman Memorial Union Theatre
