It's essential that students obtain the core knowledge and skills central to their discipline.  It's also important to develop knowledge and skills to collaborate with professionals from other health care disciplines.

The Office of Education offers programs to help students and faculty learn to work as teams with health professionals in other health disciplines.


AHC Learning Commons
Co-created by the AHC Office of Education and the Bio-Medical Library, the AHC Learning Commons offers faculty a friendly environment to learn about and practice contemporary ways of teaching and learning, especially those supported by technology.

Center for Health Interprofessional Programs (CHIP)
A student-driven program focused on building interprofessional relationships and developing initiatives designed to enhance the students' education and experience.  CHIP offers students a wide variety of academic, service, leadership, and networking opportunities.

Providing career information and specialized services on health careers for prospective and current undergraduate students.

The Interprofessional Educaton and Resource Center (IERC) offers state-of-the-art facilities that use technology and simulated situations to help prepare students for the professional world.

Minnesota Area Health Education Center (MN AHEC)
By working with Academic Health Center (AHC) schools, the Minnesota Area Health Education Center (MN AHEC) helps students explore health careers, gain experiential training in rural communities, and support health professionals practicing in greater Minnesota.
