Recruiting Health Professionals: Considerations for Communities

Ms. Trauba talked about the mission of Minnesota Center for Rural Health, which was created in response to increasing challenges of providing healthcare in rural communities.  She reviewed health professional supply and demand in Minnesota, what students look for when evaluating practice opportunities, and ways communities can enhance their recruitment efforts.  Ms. Trauba also discussed student loan repayment programs available in Minnesota.  Kim Rauk, a dentist, and Jessica Larson, a physician, shared their personal experiences in choosing where to practice.
