The mission of the Office for Equity and Diversity is responsible for the University of Minnesota's systemwide equity and diversity initiatives and programs, and for infusing the core values of equity and diversity into all aspects of teaching, learning, research, service, and outreach at the University.
The Office of Equity and Diversity envisions the University as a place where equity and diversity are woven into the very fabric of the University's operations, and where colleges, administrative units, coordinate campusus, and external communities are partners in the work with shared responsibility for its success.

MCAE provides two instructional centers on the Twin Cities campus: a primary tutoring and computer center in Klaeber Court, as well as a satellite center on the St. Paul campus. The Klaeber Court Instructional Center provides group and individual tutoring, a computer lab, and special workshops. Tutoring is offered in many subjects, with special emphasis on mathematics and science. The Shih-Pau Yen Computer Center provides test preparation (GRE, GMAT, LSAT). The Science Math And Research & Writing Tutoring (SMART) Center on the St. Paul campus in 43 Classroom Office Building offers tutorial services on selected days.
MCAE also offers academic and mentoring programs, along with living and learning communities in the dorms.
Circle of Indigenous Nations

The mission of the Circle of Indigenous Nations at the University of Minnesota is to recruit, retain, and graduate American Indian students. The center achieves these goals by promoting cultural values that help American Indian students to become self directed, excel academically, and succeed in all areas of individuals matriculation, academic pursuits, and career aspirations.

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Ally (GLBTA) Programs Office is dedicated to improving campus climate for all University of Minnesota students, staff, faculty, alumni, and visitors by developing and supporting more inclusive understandings of gender and sexuality. We recognize the intersections of gender and sexuality with race, ethnicity, class, ability, age, culture, and all social systems; we are committed to holding ourselves and others accountable for working against all forms of oppression.
