1. Go to http://www.myu.umn.edu. Authenticate using your U of M x.500 username and password.
2. Employees select the “my WORKLIFE” tab. Students select the “my ACADEMIC & CAREER” tab.

3. The training will be listed under the heading “U of M Privacy and Security Training”

4. Look for the title of the training course that you need to complete. Select the course and a new window will open up. You can begin taking the course.
5. After you complete the course, close the window to return to your To Do list. You can then proceed with the next course or if you are finished, you can log out of the portal.
6. You will receive an email confirming your completion of the course by the following day. Print out the confirmation for your records. Your completion of the courses will be tracked electronically.
7. Please remember to LOG OUT of the portal when you are finished. If you leave the computer while you are logged in, others could use your log in to access your private information such as HR information.
