Position Description

Working Title: Recruitment Associate
Location: TC Eastbank
Department: Dean’s Office, School of Public 
Health
Unit: Recruitment Services

Program Description:
The Office of Recruitment Services is dedicated 
to recruiting intellectually vibrant candidates 
who are racially, ethnically and geographically 
diverse by working with student affairs, 
academic programs, the advancement staff and 
alumni.

Duties:
This is a 25% graduate assistant appointment.  
The graduate assistant will work with the 
Recruitment Services staff on recruitment 
initiatives.  Specific tasks will include: 
Assisting with various databases; assisting with 
prospective student follow-up; assisting with 
recruitment events; helping organize targeted 
annual events; assisting with special mailings; 
and attending the weekly Recruitment Services 
meeting.

Qualifications:
1. Registered graduate student during the 
academic year.  
2. Familiar with public health.  
3. Competent working with Microsoft Office 
programs, Excel, and databases.  
4. Ability to work independently.  
5. Excellent written and oral communication.  
6. Detail oriented.  
7. Ability to work with people from diverse 
backgrounds.  
8. Ability to work some evenings and occasional 
weekends.
