Job Description and Responsibilities:
The position is for a research assistant
related to homecare outcomes research primarily
for older adults. The research involves working
with a team on data mining of homecare data from
15 homecare agencies. The primary
responsibilities include participating in data
interpretation, literature retrieval, synthesis,
and dissemination of results in presentations and
publications. Predictive modeling in this study
focuses on the specific outcomes of pressure
ulcers, incontinence, improvement in ambulation,
and medication management. This is an opportunity
for a graduate student to participate as an author
in these activities.
Qualifications:
Graduate or doctoral student with interest in
and/or experience in clinical / informatics
research. Prefer nursing or graduate/ doctoral
student in health care. Must be organized,
complete assignments in an agreed upon time frame,
and require minimal supervision. This position
requires good synthesis, critical analysis, and
writing skills. Some experience or interest in
homecare and elderly is a plus. This is not a
position requiring statistical or programming
skills. Must be able to use of MS Word, RefWorks,
Write-N-Cite, and Power Point.
Rate, Percent Position, Duration of Position:
Rate of pay = $16.22 to $18.45 per hr. depending
on experience and qualifications. This is a 25%
position for Fall and potentially Spring semesters
and includes tuition benefits.

Failure to register by the end of the second week
of class will result in termination from the
