Graduate Research Assistant Minnesota Heart 
Survey (MHS)

A research assistant is being sought for 
assistance with analysis of the Minnesota Heart 
Survey (MHS) project.  The qualifying candidate
will either be an M.D. or PhD, or, a candidate 
working on an M.S., M.P.H. or Ph.D. in 
biostatistics, applied statistics, epidemiology, 
or a related field to work. The requirements 
include (1) intermediate or advanced programming 
skills in SAS and/or other statistical packages, 
(2) prior experience with database projects 
(preferably Microsoft Access), and (3) knowledge 
of biostatistics and/or epidemiologic methods.  
The candidate should have good written and 
verbal skills and be comfortable working in an 
independent manner.  The preferred candidate 
will have experience with cardiovascular 
surveillance studies.
