PubH 6035 (Applied Research Methods) TA Position

A 25% time teaching assistant position is available 
for PubH 6035 (Applied Research Methods) during the 
Fall 2008 semester. PubH 6035 teaches MPH students 
basic research skills and concepts that are needed 
to plan, conduct, and analyze data from research 
projects. Students will analyze data using SAS and 
Excel. TA duties include conducting course labs 
(2:10 - 3:00 Tuesday and Thursday), attending each 
class session (12:45 - 2:00 Tuesday and Thursday), 
assisting the instructor in preparing materials for 
class and lab sessions, and assisting in grading 
student assignments.  

QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates will be graduate students 
working on a Masters degree or PhD in the School of 
Public Health; the position is contingent upon 
enrollment and current registration as a graduate 
student at the University of Minnesota. Candidates 
must have experience using SAS for data analysis and
an interest in interacting with students.
