POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Regional Healthcare Director – Southern MH &
OH is responsible for the day-to-day management
and oversight of healthcare operations including
quality of services, fiscal management, and
compliance with federal, state and Volunteers of
America National Services requirements and
standards for assigned regional area.
The selected candidate will be responsible for
the organizational structure of the assigned
programs to ensure its effectiveness and
responsiveness to those being served.
Organization, planning, operations management,
finance resource management, human resources, and
leadership are key areas of responsibility. Some
of the essential functions, duties and
responsibilities for the position include:
• Oversee the supervision of each
facility/program to ensure that an adequate level
of service is provided in a manner which enhances
the individual worth and dignity of each resident.
• Ensure that the region is in full compliance
with existing governmental rules and regulations
and organization policies.
• Participate in on-going educational programs in
the community to maintain professional status and
remain current on trends in the healthcare field.
• Monitor the hiring, training supervisory and
termination practices of program to ensure
compliance with organization policies and
governmental regulations.
• Attend and participate in the organization’s
regularly scheduled management meetings.
• Review written reports or minutes of
facility/program committee meetings, which
include a summary of committee activities and
actions, recommendations, plans for
implementation and continued assessment and take
appropriate action.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration
or related field is required. A minimum of ten
years successful executive management experience.
Candidates that are licensed as a Healthcare
Administrator with the state in which they are
working required. Multi-state experience and the
ability to manage multiple facilities and
services. Excellent communications skills and the
ability to prioritize and set goals. Ability to
work flexible hours and ability to travel,
routinely 50%, is required.
