Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), a world- 
renowned Comprehensive Cancer Center located in 
the heart of Boston’s medical area, is seeking 
applicants for its 2010-2011 Administrative 
Fellowship Program. The Administrative Fellowship 
is a one-year program designed to provide high 
potential individuals with the opportunity to 
further develop their leadership style and 
analytical skills and to gain expertise in such 
areas as research and clinical care integration, 
performance improvement, strategic planning, and 
clinical network development. The Fellowship will 
begin with a two-month rotation and shadow 
experience with senior leaders throughout DFCI. 
After the rotation and for the duration of the 
Fellowship, the Fellow will lead and participate 
in high visibility projects based upon individual 
interests and the Institute’s needs. It is 
expected that the Administrative Fellow will have 
the opportunity to make significant contributions 
in diverse areas within DFCI including Finance, 
Clinical Operations, Planning, Research 
Administration, Communications, Human Resources, 
and Information Systems.

Finalists will be invited to Boston for an 
interview in December 2009. Fellows will be 
selected in January 2010 and will begin the 
Fellowship in the Summer of 2010.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligible applicants should expect to graduate 
with a master’s degree in a relevant field prior 
to the start of the Fellowship and should have 
1-2 years of work experience.

applicant’s career objectives (1-2 pages)
3) Official graduate school transcript
4) Two letters of recommendation, one of which 
must be from a graduate school professor
