Winona State University currently has an opening 
for a Director of Student Health Services to 
start in January 2010. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct management of all the components of the 
Student Health Services department.
• Departmental policy development.
• Lead the department in setting long and short 
term department goals.
• Monitor and respond to college health trends 
and student needs.
• Research and implement new programs and services.
• Monitor for compliance with FERPA, MN data 
privacy act, HIPPA, MN immunization law, 
regulations of the MN Board of Nursing and MN 
Board of Medical Practices.
• Direct personnel supervision of both 
professional and office staff.
• Liaison to campus/local/state and national community.
• Program Coordinator of the Integrated Wellness Center.
• Develop the Student Health Services budget.
• Coordinate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) 
policies and operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Masters degree in Nursing OR Health Care 
Administration OR Public Health OR a related 
field.
• 3 years or more experience in administration.
• Direct experience in supervision of a 
professional staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Direct experience in preparation of reports and 
long-range planning.
• Experience in development and management of a 
departmental budget.
• Understanding in health care financing and 
accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge or experience of electronic medical 
records.
• Knowledge of Accreditation Association for 
Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) standards.
• Knowledge or experience of the philosophy and 
functions of a university integrated wellness center.
