A full-time Community Health Specialist working 
within the Healthy Communities Division is open at 
Goodhue County Public Health Service. 

The purpose of the position is to partner with 
agencies/coalitions within the county to develop, 
plan, implement and evaluate community based health 
promotion initiatives. These activities will be 
done through collaboration with government 
agencies, community organizations, school 
personnel, families, and the community at large. 
This position is periodically required to work 
evenings and weekends.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Baccalaureate in community health, health 
education, or related field.
• Graduate degree in community health, public 
health, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with community based 
initiatives or collaboration with multiple groups 
in the area of health prevention/promotion. 

COMPENSATION:
Salary range is $20.58 - $23.67/hour depending on 
experience. Further salary information is available 
upon request. The position is eligible for Goodhue 
County benefits package.
